NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY '10
(October 29- November 28, 2010)
Photographers residing in the USA and 18 years of age or older are eligible to submit digital images for consideration. Entry fee $30/2 pieces of artwork. CD images must be either a jpeg or gif image (600 dpi largest dimensional side, PC compatible and 72 dpi). *** The gallery policy for all shows is to put all images online approximately one week after the opening of the exhibition in the physical gallery****
JURORS are:
KEITH MILLMAN is an artist currently living in Ithaca, New York whose work is based on photographic imagery. He is Associate Professor and Department Chair of New Media at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
ROGER SMITH - Painter, Sculptor, Educator and Co- Director of the Main Street Gallery.
Insurance on premises only. Awards. Shipping costs to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist if selected. All artwork must be for sale. Gallery commission is 40% of retail price.

2010 NATIONAL SMALL WORKS PAINTING
(December 3, 2010 - January 2, 2011)

JURORS are:
MARIANN LOVELAND is an painter currently living in Ithaca, New York. She was born in 1932 in Ancon, Panama. Mariann Loveland* received her BFA from Ohio State University and her MFA from Cornell University. In the early 1970's a one-person show at Stefanotti gallery, New York, New York, established her among the original Photo Realists. Gregory Battcock illustrates some of those paintings in his book Super Realism. Exhibiting in the United States and abroad her work has been shown in numerous museum exhibitions including a solo show at the Nicholas Roerich Museum, New York, New York, and another solo exhibition at the Johnson Museum of Art, Ithaca, New York. Her paintings are in the collection of the Roberson Memorial Center, Binghamton, NY, The Speed Museum of Art, Louisville, Kentucky and the Herberrt F. Johnson Museum of Art, Ithaca, New York. Ms loveland's murals appear in public and private collections of Paulina DuPont Dean, British Virgin Islands, Alex and Janis Beickousky, Seattle, Washington, Joan Niles Sears, Ithaca, New York, and the History Center, Ithaca, New York for which she was given a Special Recognition Award by the City of Ithaca and the Rotary Club.
Mariann Loveland taught Life Drawing, Two and Three D. Design (basic and advanced), Painting, and Lighting as an art form at Cornell University. In the University of Cincinnati, University of Alaska and Savannah School of Art and Design, she taught Graduate Painting. SUBMISSION POLICY FOR PORTFOLIO REVIEW OF ART WORK
THE MAIN STREET GALLERY will review artist's portfolios. You must provide the following:
1. Ten CD images ( jpeg, gif or tif at 72dpi, 600 pixels largest dimensional side and PC compatible) of most recent work.
2. Artwork title, medium, size and date for each image.
3. Retail prices
4. Artist statement, resume and biography
No email submissions will be accepted. Be advised that the gallery will not return your materials without a SASE for return. Juried shows have a different submission policy. Please check conditions of entry of any juried show exhibition prospectus.
